This page states our refund position in plain terms. It is a restatement of clause 15 of the Terms of Enrolment, which is the operative text. If the two ever differ, clause 15 governs and you should tell us, because it means we have made a mistake on this page.

In one paragraph

If you buy the Medicolegal Essentials course and it is not for you, tell us within seven days and we refund the whole Rs. 999, provided you have completed no more than two of the eight modules. You do not have to give a reason. Separately, and with no time limit at all, if a course is not as described or is materially defective, you are entitled to a refund whenever you find that out.

The Medicolegal Essentials course, Rs. 999

Within seven days, and no more than two modules completed. Full refund of Rs. 999. No reason required. Access ends when the refund is made.

After seven days, or more than two modules completed. No refund arises as of right. But clause 15.9 applies: write to us with the reason and we will consider it on its merits and answer in writing. We do not operate a rule that refunds are never given.

If the course is not as described, or is materially defective. Full refund, whether or not the seven days have passed and whatever you have completed. Tell us what the problem is.

If you are charged twice, or charged the wrong amount. We refund the difference in full, as soon as we are told or as soon as we notice, whichever is first.

If we withdraw the course, or fail to make it available to you. Full refund of the part not delivered, or a transfer, whichever you prefer.

If a paid course is substantially unavailable to you for more than seven days running, for a reason within our control. We extend your access by at least that period, or refund a fair part of the fee if you prefer.

Live cohorts and workshops, when they open

These are not on sale yet. When they are, the position will be as clause 15.4 and clause 15.5 of the Terms of Enrolment state: for a live cohort, a full refund if you cancel seven or more days before the first session, half if you cancel between six days and forty eight hours before, and a single free transfer to the next cohort if you tell us before the first session begins. For a workshop at a physical venue, a full refund fourteen or more days before, half between thirteen and seven days before, and a single free transfer if you tell us at least forty eight hours before.

How to ask, and how long it takes

Write to doctorlawyerofficial@gmail.com with the email address you enrolled with and, if you have it, the payment reference. You do not need to use any particular form of words.

We decide a refund request within seven working days of receiving it. Where a refund is due we process it to the original payment method within seven working days of the decision. How long it then takes to reach your account depends on your bank or your card issuer, and that part is not within our control.

We do not refund to a different payment method or a different person from the one that paid.

Your rights are wider than this page

This page and clause 15 set out what you are entitled to as of right, and they are in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. They do not replace those rights and do not reduce them. Nothing here sends you to arbitration, confines you to any one city, or requires you to complain to us first before going anywhere else.

If you want to complain to us first, clause 17 of the Terms of Enrolment explains how, and we would rather you did, but you do not have to.

Reading module one, and cancelling before you pay

Module one and its quiz are open without payment. Opening them charges you nothing, asks for no payment instrument, and is not a purchase, so no refund question arises on it and nothing is charged to you later unless you choose to enrol in the full course.

Nothing is charged until you complete payment. Closing the payment window charges you nothing and enrols you in nothing.

The launch offer

The standing price of the course is Rs. 2,999. The inaugural launch offer is Rs. 999 and is limited to the first 200 paid enrolments. If you enrol at Rs. 999 and the price later rises, nothing further is charged to you, and a refund of the difference does not arise because no difference has been taken from you.

If you began paying while the offer applied and the last place went while you were paying, you pay Rs. 999, because the amount is fixed when your order is created. If you were nevertheless charged Rs. 2,999 in that situation, clause 15.8 applies and we refund the difference in full.
